Green Going Forward
|
Across the globe, enterprises are awakening to the ways that their operations impact the environment in various areas over time. This awareness is especially heightened in the IT sector, as companies investigate and deploy initiatives that promote energy efficiency and sustainable business practices. Simply put, a “green” initiative is a policy or process designed to sustain natural capital rather than deplete it. This can also be expressed as living off profits rather than living off capital. These initiatives reduce consumption of non-renewable resources, minimize pollution and waste, and create healthy, productive environments. Green initiatives also are fast becoming a minimum requirement for doing business with global enterprise customers along the entire supply chain.
Panduit embraces green thinking as both a value and a responsible business practice. Green initiatives permeate every aspect of our business, from using recycled, locally purchased materials whenever practical to developing product and solution offerings that enable energy efficiency and promote environmentally sustainable business strategies.
Our company-wide commitment has resulted in the long-standing deployment of programs throughout our global facilities that use energy efficiently, reduce energy consumption, and minimize our ecological footprint. Knowing that we are respecting communities around the world is the greatest return on green investment.
